Don MacKinnon's office and mine were close by. He was the VP/founder of Hear Music, and I was in Ops Services at the time leading the creation and implementation of the Automated Labor Systems (ALS). We both used conference rooms at the front of the 8th floor. Don would see me in a meeting room on the way to his meetings. He would immediately call me and ask me what I was working on, then he would gleefully tell me who he was in the next room meeting with or on the phone with. Names like Bono, Paul McCartney, Nora Jones, etc.. If we were lucky, he would drop by to introduce them. Don was worried that I never got to have any fun because all my meetings were so serious, so he invited my husband and I to go to Peter Garbriel's Concert with him and his wife. Whenever I hear the song, "In Your Eyes", I always smile and think of Don and Starbucks.
